An Introduction

Hello! I am Jeremiah Wenzel. I graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an associate degree in LAN Administration and PC Technician. I finished with a computer security certificate in 2014. This blog will cover various cybersecurity topics that I have studied and encountered.

Ever since I was a kid with a Tandy 1000, I have been deeply interested in computers and technology. I went a long way from routinely crashing my mother’s computer to managing all household electronics, a HomeLab I run for myself, and 2 separate AWS Linux servers along with Azure AD and Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365).

Despite several roadblocks, such as finding nothing but entry-level jobs demanding 5 years of experience and later an eye condition diagnosis of Keratoconus, I have never given up my pursuit of knowledge and experimentation on various projects.

Now that things have stabilized and entry-level job requirements appear to be loosening, I am in reboot mode. I discovered DeltaV Code School and took part in their Ops102 and 201 classes, which refreshed my knowledge of being in a system administrator/help desk role. I followed up with their cybersecurity course. Since then, I have maintained a steady routine of continuous learning, utilizing resources such as Tryhackme and Hackthebox. This blog is entirely self-hosted and maintained. by me through Amazon Lightsail.
