The Network Layer of the OSI Model is where we have packets. These packets don’t yet have a destination when your sending data.
While they don’t have a destination, this is where we give them an address to go. When we receive data, this is where we confirm that it belongs to us and then process the data along with the rest of the OSI Model.
We can also categorize network traffic for Quality of Service to prioritize what gets transmitted first.
We are almost ready to send traffic. However, it’s not yet able to be routed just yet!!!!. To route data, we need MAC addresses. With MAC addresses, we can determine what router to send the data to next.
